CURRENT PERFOMANCE:

UGEED-ASS for the last two years has been carrying out the following predominatly self or voluntary activities in the following disciplines.Members of the association who belong to the churchmission have been enganged in canceling and sensitisation and spiritual healing according to the structure of the organisation in relation with the churchProviding basics of life and education materials to about 40 orphans so far on voluntary basis to sustain their survival.These orphans are sponseredin various schools on scholarship arrangments.Medical and nursing asistance on voluntary basis for disabled person and HIV/AIDS through its voluntary attached clinics at Sub county levels CBHCS.The community has perticipated in holistic social service programe that builds on the community strengths and competence looks at the roots causes of poverty through organised seminers,workshops, and short courses/trainees.The community utilises community-based approches to address these problems through workshoping centres down to the house hold's levels.

ECONOMIC ACTIVITIES FOR SUSTAINABILTY:

Through our organised structure from district down to the house hold levels,UGEED-ASS voluntary members in their house holds are engaged in small income generating projects out of which financial contributions are made towards the associations running costs,It is this area which also requires formalising and institutionalising to incease its capacity such that entire organisation becomes fully self-sustaining when grant funds requested are depleted. Economic activities for sustainability include the following.

1. Small loaning scheme, Under this members of the association are give small loans to invest in there small household business. This is has helped many members to pull ou fro the vicious circle of poverty.
2. Hiring of plastic chairs and fuctional tables,This is one of the prgrame which many members have liked. It is oout of the subscription fee that money is raised to buy the organisation functional chairs which are hired buy orgabnisere of function on the district.These cahirs and tables are also affered to the members of the assocition if there is any need,and on a low cost . All monies raised from hiring these cahirs goes directly to the development of the project

Mr. Kambugu Ismail. the finance and administration is responsible to all the two programs  with matters concerning finances.However he still need more funds to initiate other activities as per the project proposal.
